Field purpose

A definitive map of how capability compounds: first direct one AI at one outcome, then earn users, build systems, and shape a venture or portfolio.

Field panel 01

loop

The loop on every rung

The tools change. The loop does not. Every rung repeats the same three moves at a higher level.

  1. 01

    Build

Turn a real need into a working artifact. Keep the first version small enough to finish.

Evidence: A person can open, use, or experience it.

  2. 02

    Judge

Test the output, catch what is wrong, and decide what is worth keeping.

Evidence: The check record names a test and at least one decision.

  3. 03

    Prove

Keep the artifact, direction record, check record, and a clear explanation in your own words.

Evidence: A skeptical stranger can follow the evidence.

rung

Season 1 - Build

Direct one AI at one useful outcome and finish three increasingly independent builds.

  1. Build

    For Someone Real

Listen to one named person, define the need, and deliver a useful first build.

Evidence: User confirmation plus the artifact.

  2. Judge

    Into the World

Put a live build in front of people, gather reactions, and improve one thing that matters.

Evidence: Live link, reaction evidence, and change note.

  3. Prove

    Your Own Thing

Choose the goal, hold the scope, finish, and explain the decisions.

Evidence: Demo, direction record, and check record.

Season 2 - Users

Move from 'it works' to 'people choose to use it.' Reality becomes the design partner.

  1. Build

    Invite real use

Choose a clear audience and remove the friction that stops them trying the build.

Evidence: A real invitation and a reachable artifact.

  2. Judge

    Read behaviour

Separate compliments from evidence. Look for use, return use, confusion, and drop-off.

Evidence: A small usage view and three observations.

  3. Prove

    Improve from evidence

Make one change because reality asked for it, then compare what happened.

Evidence: Before-and-after evidence plus the reason.

Season 3 - Systems

Connect tools into a reliable workflow or small agent with clear limits and human checkpoints.

  1. Build

    Design the flow

Map trigger, inputs, AI decisions, actions, and the point where a human must approve.

Evidence: A readable system map with boundaries.

  2. Judge

    Test the edges

Try missing data, strange inputs, tool failure, and the wrong answer. Make failure visible and recoverable.

Evidence: Test cases, caught failures, and a fallback.

  3. Prove

    Run it safely

Show the system completing a real job while the builder can explain and stop every step.

Evidence: Run log, demo, and safety controls.

Season 4 - Venture or Portfolio

Turn several ships into one coherent body of work. The direction follows the builder's interests.

  1. Venture

    A useful offer

For builders who want it: define a real problem, a responsible offer, and a small way to test demand.

Evidence: Offer, conversations, delivery evidence, and honest results.

  2. Portfolio

    A record built for scrutiny

Curate the strongest work, explain decisions, repair weak evidence, and make the story easy to verify.

Evidence: A coherent portfolio with checkable records.

  3. Both paths

    Bigger ownership

The builder chooses the direction, keeps the honesty line, and carries the same Build-Judge-Prove loop.

Evidence: A finale explanation that stands on evidence.

How to climb

A rung is earned by evidence, not by time spent or pages read.

  1. One

    Ship before expanding

Finish one useful version before adding features, tools, or new ideas.

  2. Two

    Change tools on purpose

At least once each season, pick up an unfamiliar AI tool and become useful with it quickly.

  3. Three

    Keep the human thread

Listen, decide, handle feedback, present clearly, and own the outcome. AI does not take those reps.

  4. Four

    Carry the record

Artifacts, direction, checks, and explanations stay together so each season strengthens the next.
